"Morality belongs in the Mind. Morality is part of the culture it is in. For example, it is moral in one society to have more than on wife, but not so in another society.
Principles and ethics, on the other hand, are expressions of the Spirit which has to do with the INTENT and WILL. Rules and laws are activities of the mind. Laws are fashioned by the mind in an effort to establish and safeguard principles and ethics - that is, to express the thought behind everything that is. When we obey a law in accordance with its intent, we are carrying out the spirit of that law (determining with the Spirit). We may, however, carry out the letter of the law - that is, by mental application follow it literally - yet act contrary to its spirit and intent (determining with the mind).
The results of this lie around us in confused, unhappy relationships, broken homes, crime and violence, moral bankruptcy, and in particular the disrepute of the law, government, law enforcement and justice
Part of our problem is that when we suffer discomfort and pain or when there is disharmony and confusion in our lives, we don't treat this as a signal that we are out of alignment - out of balance within ourselves. We have been conditioned to treat only symptoms and effects, rarely the cause, so we take another tablet, smoke another cigarette, have another drink, or escape in a television programme. It is like stuffing a fire alarm with rags instead of dealing with the fire that triggered the alarm.
How do we know when we are determining with the Spirit? We determine with the Spirit when we follow what our Heart truly wants to do, for the heart is the voice of the spirit which is heard intuitively. We can't always be enthusiastic about some of the work we do, even if reason tells us that the task is necessary. It is when we find that we are putting ourselves 'heart and soul' into an activity that we are determining with the Spirit. Determining with the Spirit is uplifting and stimulating and makes us 'feel good inside'."

[ -What follows is a poem which I wrote for PARIS HILTON in July of 2007. I sent this poem to her (and also a few letters) in the hope of meeting her, and getting to know her. NOW, I post this here to share with everyone and anyone who enjoys poetry, although it is still her poem which I wrote in an expression of feelings I had at the time. BENJI MADDEN recently wrote PARIS a love song, I think that is awesome, the title of his song is "Shine Your Light". I see a lot of negative things written about these two people on the internet. It disgusts me that there are people who seem to have nothing better to do than speak ill of them, and generally spread their own emotional poison. So here is the poem, and I want to wish PARIS and BENJI the very best in their life together, may they always know the happiness that being in love inspires.- ]
My Dream
A dream you are a dream to me
a day that I might never see
Beyond that hill within that dream
a plead for help I heard you scream
My call to arms so I awoke
then all my strength to then invoke
With that dream inside my spirit
called to you if you would hear it
Breathless now and wondering still
I yearn for you if that you will
Grant me one chance to hold you near
to ease your mind, erase your fear
Stand by your side a steady soul
my blood is yours, my heart you stole
Though by your stars I seem to see
that you seek most just to be free
You may suspect that none could stand
to stay with you and take your hand
Just please know this I long for you
and there's nothing that I won't do
To see your dream of love be real
a love so true that you will feel
Heaven on Earth for all your years
though come what may the joys and tears
I'll stand by you in love to stay
if God does will that which I pray
Believe me this you are my star
and I accept you as you are
I swear to keep from speaking ill
just words of praise or silent still
I take no slight at what you choose
my heart throughout you will not lose
I won't assume when I'm not sure
to keep my love and knowledge pure
I wish to give my very best
in having you I'd feel so blessed
I would catch you if you should fall
and answering your every call
To help you live your fantasy
embracing life and being free
Just let me know what you decide
if I may stand there by your side

Light of my Love
Passion kept in check there in a safe place
Then not to be hurt and never lose face
To be lost in love and then there be caught
Much simpler to stay a singular thought
But still dreams are born and yearn to have life
They wish to feel joy, a husband, a wife
So seeking the sun behind all the clouds
The man who is true stands out from the crowds
And there held aloft and placed high above
I hold out to you the light of my love
With passion so strong I call out your name
To hear from you now if you feel the same
I reach out to you alone in my sleep
A passionate love emotion so deep
There I would place you atop of that sea
An ocean of feeling if there you would be
With wave after wave such love you might feel
From then on to know that my love is real
To speak of those things you have on your mind
A better companion you may never find
What can I tell you except what I know
If God would allow I would never go
Just there by your side until we must part
You have all your friends and I have my art
There are two kinds of people in the world, there are those who make the most out of opportunities, and there are those who make the most out of excuses.
