Moonlight and Magic

What angelic beauty glimpsed in pale moonlight
A heavenly vision frolicking in a field of wild flowers
Their sweet scent wafting on gentle breezes
She sings a mesmerizing tune that touches the heart
The night overflowing with the promise of romance
I watch from afar afraid to approach and disturb perfection
Never has my heart felt such love and joy
I content myself to view the mysterious midnight maiden
Forever will I remember this magical night
Perchance to dream of angelic beauty in the pale moonlight

From Chaos to the Golden Age

Rage
Anger
Ignorance
Neglect

Trouble
Hatred
Ornery
Understanding
Gratitude
Happiness
Triumph

Peace
Love
Adulation
Confidence
Ecstatic

The Dream

I lay awake recounting the dream just passing
Once more I have dreamt of you
Your scent does yet perfume the air
Your lovely visage still occupies my mind
Upon the occasion of your visit you did speak
"I love you" the three words I so long to hear
Which once hearing, I awoke only to find a
Fairy tale spun by a weary mind not sweet reality
Tonight was but a dream but perhaps come
Tomorrow I can make it reality
Drifting back to sleep I whisper, "I love you too"

The Search for Love

I wish upon the star so bright
Throw a penny in every well
Wishing to find my one true love
For some love comes so easily
Love though eludes me still
Yet I know somewhere there is someone just for me
I will wait patiently for the day love finds me
For there is nothing grander than the joining of two hearts
Cherish the love you find nothing greater can be acquired
Love moves mountains and makes the world go round
I pray that everyone find love, for with love peace is inevitable
I wish upon the star so bright

One glance

As I slowly glance across the room, my eyes meet yours.
Your devilish eyes hold me captive. In your eyes I see a kindred spirit.
They say the eyes are a window to the soul.
Your inner beauty matched only by your outer splendor.
You are the life of the party utterly charming and engaging.
You have stolen my heart. Surely you're aware I'm falling in love.
I slowly approach you palms sweating, heart racing, completely tongue-tied.
No one ever told me love was like this. I manage to ask you to dance and you accept.
As we slowly glide to the dance floor our eyes meet once more.
How I pray this night may never end.

Welcome to the City

Pollution
Destitution
Prostitution
Smog
Crime
Poverty
Drugs
Gangs
Unemployment
Homelessness
Acid rain
Pickpockets
Con artist
Abandoned buildings
Drive by shootings
Welcome to the city
Have a nice day

A Wishful Dream

People celebrate the human race
Love one another a chance to end all war
Eden the lost city of Paradise
Adam the first man to live first to sin
Satan that tempter of men what way he has
Unique is he to be both angel and demon
Religion the source of this story
Eve the mate of Adam the two never thought of war

Armies were never God's plan love is what he wishes
Napoleon a great empire he had yet it fell
Doing right by your fellow man is what makes society last

Please can we all forget our differences and remember there is but one race
Anger and violence never solve a thing
I believe History has shown that true
Now is the time we let freedom and peace rule this land
